§ 1 INFORMATION ON THE COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
(1) In the following, we provide information about the processing of personal data when you use our website. Personal data means any information relating to you personally, such as your name, address, email address or user behaviour. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you about our data-processing activities and to comply with our legal obligations, particularly those arising from the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Please note that you use our social-media profiles and their functions at your own responsibility. This applies in particular to the use of interactive functions, such as commenting, sharing or rating content.
When you visit our profiles, the providers of the social-media platforms collect information including your IP address and other information stored on your device in the form of cookies. This information is used to provide us, as the operator of the account, with statistical information about interactions with our profile.
(3) The data collected about you in this context is processed by the platforms and may be transferred to countries outside the European Union, particularly the United States.
According to their own statements, the providers referred to above maintain an adequate level of data protection corresponding to that provided under the former EU–US Privacy Shield. We have also concluded the applicable Standard Contractual Clauses with the companies.
We do not know how the social-media platforms use data resulting from visits to our account or interactions with our posts for their own purposes, how long this data is stored or whether the data is disclosed to third parties.
Data processing may differ depending on whether you are registered and logged in to the social network or whether you visit the page without being registered or logged in.
When you access a post or an account, the IP address assigned to your device is transmitted to the provider of the social-media platform.
Where you are currently logged in as a user, a cookie stored on your device may allow the provider to track your online activity. Buttons embedded in websites may also enable the platforms to record your visits to those websites and associate them with your respective profile.
On the basis of this data, content or advertising may be tailored to you. To prevent this, you should log out, disable the “stay logged in” function, delete the cookies stored on your device and restart your browser.
(4) As the provider of the information service, we only process data resulting from your use of our service where you provide that data to us and where an interaction is required.
For example, where you submit a question that we can only answer by email, we will store your information in accordance with the general data-processing principles described in this Privacy Policy.

(5) To exercise your rights as a data subject, you may contact either us or the provider of the social-media platform.
Where one party is not responsible for responding to your request or needs to obtain information from the other party, we or the provider will forward your request to the relevant party.

(6) The providers explain what information the respective social-media platform receives and how that information is used in their privacy policies.

(2) The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Article 6(1), sentence 1, point (f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in recruiting employees, as well as Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz – BDSG), concerning data processing in the employment context.

(5) Applicant data collected via LinkedIn will be deleted after the recruitment process has been completed, unless consent has been given for the data to be stored for a longer period or statutory retention obligations apply, particularly obligations arising under the German General Equal Treatment Act (Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz – AGG).
As a general rule, the data will be deleted six months after completion of the recruitment process.
